STRECHING EXERCISES TO IMPROVE FLEXIBILITY ,REDUCE MUSCLE TENSION, AND PREVENT INJURIES

Stretching exercises can help improve flexibility, reduce muscle tension, and prevent injuries. Here are some common stretching exercises you can try:

  1. Hamstring stretch: Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you. Lean forward from your hips and reach for your toes, keeping your back straight.

  1. Quadriceps stretch: Stand with your feet hip-width apart. Lift one foot off the ground and hold onto your ankle with one hand. Gently pull your foot towards your buttocks until you feel a stretch in your thigh.

  2. Calf stretch: Stand facing a wall with your hands on the wall at shoulder height. Step one foot back and press your heel down towards the floor, keeping your back leg straight.

  3. Shoulder stretch: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Reach one arm across your chest and hold it with your other hand. Gently pull your arm towards your chest until you feel a stretch in your shoulder.

  4. Triceps stretch: Reach one arm up and bend it at the elbow so your hand is behind your head. Use your other hand to gently pull your elbow towards your head until you feel a stretch in your triceps.

Remember to hold each stretch for at least 15-30 seconds and breathe deeply throughout. Repeat each stretch on both sides of your body.
